Christ Church is an unpretentious building, constructed in local red brick laid in English Garden Wall bond (3 rows of stretchers).

The church is now redundant.

The pier and dock at New Holland were created in 1848 by the Manchester, Sheffield and Lincolnshire Railway.

This was the principal ferry point to Hull from Lincolnshire until the opening of the Humber Bridge in 1891.

Two paddle steamer ferries are in this view.
