White's Directory 1872 records :-
"The poor parishioners have the interest of £50, left by several donors, and the lord of the manor and W. E. W elby, Esq., pay £20 annually towards the education of poor children belonging to this and the parishes of Haceby, Braceby and Sapperton. The School, for the joint use of these parishes, was erected here in 1842, and is attended by about 40 children of both sexes"

Much of St Botolph’s is 13th century work, including the lower stages of the tall west tower, the tower arch and the lofty 3-bay nave arcades.
The south aisle and the chancel arch date from the extensive restoration of 1867.

Kelly's Directory 1913 records that :-
"The church of St. Botolph is an ancient building of stone in the Norman, Early English and later styles, consisting of chancel with chapels, nave, aisle, south porch and a western tower with pinnacles, containing 5 bells:
both nave arcades are Decorated, and the upper stage of the tower is Perpendicular:
the south chantry chapel retains a piscina with a hagioscope above it; the north chantry chapel has a niche and two narrow hagioscopes:
in the north aisle are two incised slabs with crosses:
the church was restored in 1865-6, at a cost of £1,600, under the direction of Messrs. Kirk and Parry:
the stained east window was presented by Lady and Sir G. E. Welby-Gregory; and there are two stained windows at the west end:
the brass lectern was given by a previous rector:
there are 200 sittings"

White's Directory 1872 records that :-
"The Church (St. Botolph), consisting of nave, north and south aisles, chancel, Lady chapel and a tower with three bells, is an ancient stone structure, which was restored in 1866, at an expense of about £1600.
It contains three handsome windows of stained glass; that in the east end of the chancel was presented in 1867, by Lady and Sir G. E. Welby-Gregory, and the others are the gift of the Hon. Mrs. Welby.
The rectory, valued in K.B. at £9. 19s. 10d., and now at £345, is in the incumbency of the Rev. Thomas Todd, M.A., who has a good rectory house, built by the late Sir W. E. Welby, about the year 1851, at an outlay of £1200".
