The chapel was celebrating its centenary when this image was taken - the banner reads "A YEAR OF CELEBRATION / CENTENARY & MISSION".
In "A List And Brief Details Of Chapels In The Lincoln Circuits Past And Present" prepared by Colin Shepherdson (Revised October 2000) it is stated that :-
"i) A house was licensed for worship in 1811 and the first chapel built in 1842. This chapel was sold following the opening of the new chapel and, for a period of time, used as a reading room. The chapel was finally demolished in the 1960's.
ii) The foundation stone for the new chapel and Sunday school was laid on the 24.10.1893. Situated in the High Street, on the corner of Chapel Lane, the buildings were opened on the 21.3.1894. The chapel is still in use with a membership of 32"
