The lower stage of the tower of St Nicholasís is 12th century, and there is a wide Norman arch to the nave.

Much of the interior is 13th century including the tall chancel arch.

The east window has some fine early 14th century stained glass.

Base of the tower is Norman.

Ashlar faced upper parts of the tower are from 1632, constructed after the former steeple collapsed.

Main east window, above the altar, known as the Newmarch window.

It depicts John de Newmarch, Lord of the manor presenting William de Briddeshall to the vacant living of the parish in 1307.

The priest's head is a later restoration.

The school building was enlarged in 1896.
