Elsham Hall

The core of Elsham Hall is an early 18th century house, which was added to later in the century.

This view shows the house as it was before the major alterations of the 1930s, when a new west wing was built and extensive alterations were made to the rest of the building.

The restyled gardens here are open to the public.

The church of All Saints in Elsham is largely the work of W. Scott Champion in 1874.

The Norman tower arch survives along with a Saxon opening above it.

Other medieval survivals include a Transitional doorway in the chancel and a Decorated south window in the nave.

The two west tower buttresses each contain part of a frieze of the Last Judgement.

The left panel is largely obliterated. This is the right panel showing an angel and five of the doomed.
