The former Wesleyan Methodist Chapel in Althorpe, opened in 1864, is built in contrasting red and pale cream brick.

New Road is now better known as the A18. The building on the left was the Dolphin pub. Owned by Fox's of Crowle & then Barnsley Brewery, it survived into the C21 before closing.

The Old Hall at Althorpe is an early L-shaped brick house with a later seventeenth-century doorway.

A station for Keadby & Althorpe first opened in 1866. A realignment of the line saw the present site opening in 1916.

St Oswald's Althorpe stands close to the bank of the River Trent.

The church was built in 1483 by Sir John Neville, whose arms are displayed on the west side of the ashlar faced tower.

It has a Perpendicular style throughout.

The chancel of St Oswald's has fine windows in Perpendicular style.

It is in 3 bays with battlements.

The west doorway in the tower has a surround moulding with square leaves and faces - though much weathered.

The granite column was erected at the cost of £80 to commemorate the sixteen men of Althorpe who fell in World War One and was supplied by Messrs. Sissons & Sons of Epworth. Eight further names were added after World War Two.
