Kelly's Directory of Lincolnshire 1885 states

"the east window, a Perpendicular one of three lights, has recently (1884) been filled with stained glass, the centre light by the vicar, the others by subscription, the total cost being £140"

"Dr Thomas Hurst became Rector of Barrowby and Leadenham in 1629, and a Doctor of Divinity in 1631

"Thomas later became chaplain to Charles I, and during the Civil War spent two years away from his parishes preaching to the Royalists.

He was sequestrated in 1645 and not restored until 1660, after paying a fine of £640"

Organ by Wordsworth & Maskell.

"The company was established in 1866 as Wordsworth & Maskell.

The works in Hanover Avenue were built in 1888, when the firm was known as Wordsworth & Co.

It became Wood Wordsworth & Co. in 1920 and now incorporates the three businesses of Abbott & Smith, Andrews & Co. (of Bradford) and T.E.Hughes"

An associated brass plaque fixed to the south wall of the chancel states :-

"IN MEMORY OF THE REV. CANON GEORGE EARLE WELBY PREBENDARY OF LINCOLN AND RECTOR OF THIS PARISH FROM I849 TO 1900 AND AUGUSTA HIS WIFE.

ALSO MAJOR GENERAL THE HON. SIR SAVAGE LLOYD MOSTYN KCB ROYAL WELSH FUSILIERS.

THIS REREDOS WAS ERECTED BY HIS WIFE EMILY SARAH LLOYD MOSTYN DAUGHTER OF REV, CANON G.E.WELBY 1920"

"To the left of the main pathway, looking from the porch are some fine eighteenth century tombstones to the Jenkinson Family.

Most have angel heads carved but the fifth one in from the pathway to Jane Jenkinson with its scroll work is particularly fine"

The clear plastic figures are named and take the place of those who did not return from the first World War.  

Other plastic figures elsewhere in the village, including one representing a former landlord's son seated in the bar of the White Swan.

Above the door leading into the porch, a stone statue of Mary holding Christ, dedicated in 1909.

At the time the Rev. Stephen Gladstone - son of the Prime Minister - was Rector and Edward King Bishop of Lincoln dedicated it.

"The War Memorial is set into the earlier doorway into the churchyard in the north wall.

The names of those who died from the village are commemorated, and a brass plaque with St. George killing the dragon is above the list of names.

It was designed by Omar Ramsden of London"

The 1919 edition states 

"Public Elementary School, for 190 children; average attendance, 135 ; George Potter, master"

It is now Barrowby Church of England Primary School.

The west side of the house is hard against Low Road to the south of the village centre. A date stone in the gable end reads 'R.A. 1656'
