Elsham Hall

The core of Elsham Hall is an early 18th century house, which was added to later in the century.

This view shows the house as it was before the major alterations of the 1930s, when a new west wing was built and extensive alterations were made to the rest of the building.

The restyled gardens here are open to the public.

View of the church from the north, in interesting contrast to a similar view taken 20 years previously. Most of the church is hidden by foliage during the summer

The two west tower buttresses each contain part of a frieze of the Last Judgement.

The left panel is largely obliterated. This is the right panel showing an angel and five of the 'doomed'.
