The earliest parts of St Botolph's date from the thirteenth century. It is a Grade I Listed building.

Standing in glorious isolation, the church of St Botolph, Skidbrooke, has a large 14th century nave.

The chancel arch is in the Early English style whilst the clerestory and tower are Perpendicular.

It is now looked after by the Churches Conservation Trust after many years of being abandoned.

The chancel arch was built in the thirteenth century. On the north wall of chancel is a rectangular aumbry and on the south side a piscina and sedilia.

The east window is flanked by large grotesque corbel heads.

The view looking west shows the early thirteenth-century north and south arcades, each of four bays.

Both arcades have octagonal piers and polygonal responds.
