This small church stands alone in an isolated part of the Wolds.

Of greenstone with limestone dressings and much patched in brick, the building probably has 12th century origins.

There is a blocked Norman doorway on the north side.

View from the south-west shows the extensive repairs in brick carried out in the 20th century.

The slate roof is also relatively modern.

The chancel and the window in the nave date from the 14th or 15th century.

Long disused, the church is cared for by the Friends of Friendless Churches.

The plain interior is now unfurnished, though the chancel screen and altar rail remain.

The unusual porch with its ogee arch is said to date from 1743.
