Holy Trinity church in Swallow lies in the Lincolnshire Wolds.
The tower is Norman in origin as is the west doorway, tower arch and a west window.
The north arcade and chancel arch are 13th century but the whole church was over-restored in 1868.
Mark Acton, 2008

White's Directory 1872 reports :-
"The Church (Holy Trinity) is a small structure, chiefly in the Early English style of architecture, and consists of nave and square tower. The chancel was restored in 1868, at a cost of £350, defrayed by the rector. The living is a rectory, valued in K.B. at £7. 10s. 10d., and now at £450, in the incumbency of the Rev. Sir Chas. Macgregor, Bart., who is also rural dean, and has a good rectory house, built in 1865, at a cost (with site), of £1700, in lieu of the old house erected in 1834."

Kelly's Directory 1930 has :-
"The church of the Holy Trinity is an ancient edifice of stone, of Saxon or very Early Norman and Early English date, consisting of chancel, nave, north aisle and a western tower containing one bell:
the chancel was rebuilt in 1868, partly on the old foundations:
in 1883 the church was thoroughly restored and a new north aisle added, at a cost of £1,175:
a stained window was also placed in the chancel by Miss Bingham, of Thorganby, in memory of the Farrow and Bingham families:
there is also a window erected in 1915 by his family in memory of the Rev. J. E. W. Loft, rector from 1880 to 1909:
there are 90 sittings.
The churchyard was extended in 1905.
The register dates from the year 1672. The living is a rectory, net yearly value £322, with residence, built in 1865, at a cost of £1,700, in the gift of the Lord Chancellor, and held since 1909 by the Rev. Arthur Henry Askey M.A. of St. Jobn's College, Cambridge, hon. C.F. and rural dean of Caistor."
