Toynton St Peter's church has a Perpendicular greenstone tower. The north arcade is fourteenth-century.

The rest is of the building is the work of James Fowler of Louth in 1876-77.

The well-proportioned tower of the Perpendicular period has angled buttresses but the former battlements have been replaced by courses of plain brick.

An unusual crop of grassy vegetation has been allowed to take root.
