The Denton Manor shown in the postcard was designed by Sir Arthur Blomfield for Sir W. E. Welby Gregory and built between 1879 and 1883.
The fire broke out in the private chapel, caused probably by a flue overheating.
The house was eventually demolished around 1939.
(The flames may have added by the postcard manufacturer.)

The Welbys had a succession of fine houses at Denton, culminating in the one designed by Sir Arthur Blomfield in the 1880s (illustrated here).
The house suffered a serious fire in 1906 but survived only to be demolished in 1939.

There is an inscription on the organ case stating

Footnote: The organ case was designed by John Francis Bentley at the time of the restoration of the church by Sir Arthur Blomfiled in 1888. Bentley was asked to make a design based on the celebrated organ at Old Radnor, which dates from the early 16th century and is said to be the earliest case surviving in Britain. It is striking mixture of Gothic and Early Renaissance. T C Lewis the organ builder, considered it to be 'a thousand times better' than the original.
