The Manor House dates from the seventeenth century.

Much of the spacious church interior of St Peter & St Paul dates from the late 13th or 14th centuries.
The tower was built in 1756.

Kelly's Directory of Lincolnshire 1919 states :-
"The church of S. Peter is an edifice of stone in the Gothic style, consisting of chancel, nave, aisles, south porch and an embattled western tower containing 4 bells:
it was repaired in 1855, and has a stained window:
a new pulpit and font were provided in memory of Capt. Sir Montague Aubrey Rowley Cholmeley bart. who was killed in action, 1914:
there are 200 sittings.
The register dates from the year 1690.
The living is a vicarage, net yearly value £240, including 70 acres of glebe, with residence, in the patronage and peculiar jurisdiction of the Dean and Chapter of Lincoln, and held since 1894 by the Rev. Frederick Anthony"

White's Directory of Lincolnshire 1856 states :-
"The Church (St. Peter) is a large Gothic structure, and has over its porch a statue of the Virgin and Child.
It was repaired in 1855, when four of the windows were enriched with stained glass.
It has a monumental brass in memory of one of the Tourneys.
The nave and aisles are of the age of Henry VII., but the tower and chancel have been rebuilt at a later period.
It is in the appropriation and patronage of the Dean and Chapter of Lincoln ; and the vicarage, valued in K.B. at £8, and now at £90, is in the incumbency of the Rev. James Johnson, of Normanby-by-Spittal.
The trustees of Sutton's Charity are lessees of the rectory.
At the enclosure, the rectorial tithes were commuted for 312 acres, and the vicarial tithes for 70.A. 3R. 17P. ; and at the same time 30 acres were allotted for the reparation of the church, &c."

The Wesleyan Methodist Chapel in Caenby Road was originally built as the village (Caenby) institute. Following the closure of the chapel in High Street at the western edge of the village, it opened here in 1911.
