Kelly's Directory of Lincolnshire 1919 states

"The ancient chapel belonging to this parish becoming dilapidated, was disused early in the 18th century, but the burial ground has served for interments up to a recent date.

The church of All Saints, a building in the Decorated style, was rebuilt in 1858, from the plans of Mr. M. Drury, architect, of Lincoln, and consists of chancel, nave, south aisle and a small western tower containing one bell, and has sittings for about 200 persons.

The ancient register is included in that of South Hykeham, which dates from 1695; the modern register dates from the year 1856.

The living is a vicarage, net yearly value from 154 acres of glebe £242, with £35 from the Ecclesiastical Commissioners, and residence, built in 1859, in the gift of the Bishop of Lincoln, and held since 1917 by the Rev. Joseph Thomas Tull M.A. of Oxford University, rural dean of Graffoe"

White's History, Gazetteer And Directory Of Lincolnshire 1872 states :-

"The Church (All Saints), having become dilapidated, was disused early in the last century, and remained so until 1858, when a neat new Church, consisting of nave, south aisle, chancel and tower, was erected on a new site, at a cost of £1200.

The benefice is a vicarage, valued at £250 per annum, in the gift of the Biship of Lincoln, and incumbency of the Rev. Frederick Teeling Cusins, who has a neat vicarage house, erected in 1859, at an expense of £1000.

At the enclosure, about 1816, the tithes were commuted for allotments of land"

Saint Hugh's Church open with displays celebrating its 50th anniversary.

A letter dated 30th October 1968 from R.Guilford Ltd, Building & Civil Engineering Contractors, Ascot Drive, Derby reads :-

"Re: Proposed New Church. 

We have now had the opportunity of calculating a revised price for your new church, overall size 40'0" x 45'0".

The price for this built to the same specification as recently submitted to you including seating, furniture etc., will be £5965 - 0 - 0. (Five Thousand Nine Hundred and Sixty Five Pounds.) 

This price allows for a large window in the end of the building facing the road suitable for subsequent removal and refixing when the church is extended. 

If you will let us know if this is to your satisfaction the writer can then prepare revised drawings and obtain building and planning regulation consents"

North Hykeham, adjacent to the southern end of Lincoln, grew considerably in the 1960s and 70s. (It has had another spurt of growth in the past 20 years.)

This "modern" shopping centre was created in the 1960s.

Colin Sheperdson in his "Brief Details of Chapels in the Lincoln Circuits" Revised 2001 states :-

i) A house was licenced in April 1809 but the cause died out in 1815.

It was re-missioned in 1830 and a chapel opened on the 28.10.1838.

Following the opening of the new chapel it was subsequently converted in to two houses, now 7 & 8 Cross Lane.

ii) The foundation stone for a new chapel in Chapel Lane, was laid on the 8.8.1881.

Following modernisation and an extension it was reopened on the 13.5.1989 and is still in use with a membership of 71.
