The Wesleyan Methodist built this, their second chapel in the village, in 1894. It closed in 1980 and for many years stood derelict.

St Peter's is built of Lincolnshire greenstone - like so many churches in the Wolds.

It has a Norman chancel arch and the nave was built in the medieval peiriod.

The nave windows and the west doorway date from 1773 (when the west tower was demolished).

The chancel was built by Michael Drury* in 1857.

* Michael Drury (1832-1889) was a Lincoln architect working at one time with W A Nicholson and specialising in church restoration.
