The charming little church of St Margaret in Usselby is not one of the easiest to find in the county. The locals saved it from closure in 2013.

Much of St Margaret's is built from medieval masonry having been reduced in size and restored in the eigthteenth century.

Further restoration took place under C H Fowler in 1889.

Plaque at the back of the church recording the receipt of Queen Anne's Bounty in 1749.

This scheme, established in 1704, aimed to increase the income of the poorest clegy through the purchase of land; the rental income was paid to the incumbent.
