Kelly's Directory of Lincolnshire 1919 states :-
"The church of All Saints is a building of stone in the Perpendicular and Earlier styles, and consisting of large chancel, nave, north aisle, south porch and an embattled western tower with pinnacles containing 3 bells, 8 tubular bells and a clock placed in 1903 by Mr. Basset in memory of his mother:
there are several monuments to the Rockcliffe family:
in the north aisle are memorial windows to Elizabeth Jane wife of Edmund Ruck-Keene esq. of Swyncombe, Oxon, and daughter of William and Elizabeth Elmhirst, who died in Dec. 1875; to Gen. Elmhirst C.B. (d. 1893) and Frances (Hunt) his wife and to Mrs. Lilian Frances Elmhirst:
at the west end of the aisle is a memorial window to William Augustus Elmhirst, capt. 9th Foot, d. 1892:
in the chancel are brasses to Lieut. Stack and Mrs. Booth:
in 1873 the church was completely restored and reseated, the cost of the restoration of the tower being defrayed by Mrs. Basset, daughter of the late William Elmhirst esq. in memory of Mrs. Barnard, well known, under the name of "Claribel," as a musical composer:
there are 200 sittings"

Brochure describes All Saints Church as :-
"Grade I listed, originating late middle ages. 19th century restoration, partly in memory of Victorian songwriter, Claribel.
Oscar Wilde came to the church whilst visiting his uncle, the vicar, but Oscar soon fell out with his relative over theology and quickly escaped back to London on the train!
Interesting features include Victorian stained glass, late medieval font and windows and curious masonic gravestone outside south porch"

"SACRED to the Memory of, RICHARD CALTHROP an Officer of the ROYAL NAVY who gallantly fought and fell in defence of CHRISTIAN LIBERTY on the dreadful but ever memorable attack upon ALGIERS on the 27th day of August 1816 Aged 25 Years ... "
"The Bombardment of Algiers (27 August 1816) was an attempt by Britain and the Netherlands to end the slavery practices of Omar Agha, the Dey of Algiers.
An Anglo-Dutch fleet under the command of Admiral Lord Exmouth bombarded ships and the harbour defences of Algiers.
There was a continuing campaign by various European navies and the American navy to suppress the piracy against Europeans by the North African Barbary states.
The specific aim of this expedition, however, was to free Christian slaves and to stop the practice of enslaving Europeans"
