Reported in Mail Online that :-

Tree was planted by Old Hall in Brandon to encourage silk trade by James I

But he planted black mulberry, instead of white where silk worms thrive

In 2009 Prince Charles visited Old Hall and its owners to plant correct tree

Home is Grade II*-listed with six bedrooms and with five reception rooms

St John's is a small Chapel of Ease restored by Charles Kirk in 1872, but retaining much medieval work.

Both the south doorway and the arcade are Norman and date from the 12th century.
