This modest building was opened as a chapel for the Wesleyan Methodists in 1840.

The last service was held in 1971 and the unrestored building is used as a store.

Huts of reinforced concrete were among the accommodation in the Moorby Prisoner of War Camp.

It was constructed by Italian POWs and later occupied by German prisoners.

Later it was used to house displaced persons and finally international students doing seasonal work on local farms. Now demolished.
