All Saints' was built on a new site in 1908 by G H Allison of Louth.

Windows with interesting 14th century Perpendicular plate tracery from the earlier church have been reused on the south side.

Kelly's Directory of Lincolnshire 1885 commented on the previous building :-

"The church of All Saints, is a plain structure built of brick and stone, with chancel, nave and turret containing 1 bell: the chancel was restored in 1855 : it is proposed to erect a new church at a cost of about £1,500"

A simple framed metal plaque on the north wall of the nave in memory of a former churchwarden.

Now rather hard to decipher, it reads:

There is no village war memorial for the fallen of Goulceby so the parish decided to have this one made for the centenary of the armistice. It is in the church porch.

Details of those commemorated can be found  at https://www.iwm.org.uk/memorials/item/memorial/88623 and at https://asterby-goulceby.parish.lincolnshire.gov.uk/parish-information/asterby-goulceby-remembers/1

Windows on the south side of the nave were taken from the old church across the road when All Saints was built in 1908.

These 14th century windows are fine examples of Perpendicular plate tracery.

A notice displayed next to the old churchyard states :-

"The area marked out in this graveyard with 4 white stakes represents the approximate site of the original church"

"The old church was repaired and re-roofed during the 19th century but by the 1880s it became too costly to maintain and a decision was made to rebuild it on the new site on Top Lane which was closer to the homes of the parishioners.

This process took over 20 years and was carried out using local labour and the materials from the old church.

The new All Saints Church was consecrated in 1908"

Grave of William Marwood who died aged 6 years.

His younger brother also called William was appointed Crown Executioner in 1874.

William Marwood the hangman developed the "long drop" technique of hanging, which ensured that the prisoners' neck was broken instantly at the end of the drop, resulting in the prisoner dying of asphyxia while unconscious.

This was considered more humane than the slow death by strangulation caused by the "short drop" method.

Both Marwood brothers were born in Goulceby.

The only public house mentioned in Kelly's Directory of Lincolnshire 1885 and 1919 editions was The Plough.

However by 1937 the only public house mentioned was The Three Horseshoes.

Ordnance Survey maps show that The Plough was further to the east on Main Road.
